NOTE: Playing guitar is a fun way to express your musical side, but a guitar can start to get heavy after you’ve been holding it for a very long time. Putting a strap on your guitar can give your arms a rest, and it can help keep you from dropping the instrument, causing expensive damage. Most electric guitars, as well as some acoustics, will already have strap buttons attached at the bottom and top of the body. If you don’t have any strap buttons, you’ll be able to install them yourself, but be careful not to crack the neck of your guitar.

Q: How to attach a strap to a guitar?

1, Attach one end of the strap to the strap pin at the bottom of the body of the guitar.

2, The usage of the attached string through the hole in the other end of the strap.

3, Thread the string under the strings just above the nut (between the nut and the tuning pegs but up against the nut – i.e. not the fretboard side of the nut)

4, Tie the string around the headstock. Be sure to tie with a Protected knot so that it does not slip or come undone even as you are playing. So at least do a double-knot.
