I have seen some forum comments where some buyers imagine that numerous effects come from the exact same manufacture with just rebranded logos. Whilst this may be true in very limited limited cases, it isn’t the norm and all effects are “not” the same either in either build quality, components or tonal responses. TONE CITY has achieved quick acclaim on the market as a company to watch and their line is creating slightly a stir. These are very nice sounding units and basically hand built. Tone City Mandragora Overdrive Pedal (Kalamazoo Style) The Tone City Mandragora is based and inspired by the tones from of the much heralded Kalamazoo Love pedal. The tone keep an eye on is wired to work in series with it’s treble booster (pre-keep an eye on) and offers up smooth, yet controllable highs. The available Gain has been boosted and even the most saturated notes ring with better definition than ever before. The Mandragora offers a balanced sound being driven to new heights with a sweet, responsive, chiming high end spectrum that’s never harsh. For the price, there’s nothing adore it on the market today. Tone City has another hit on their hands with this pedal. A very versatile stomo for more than a few styles including blues and classic rock. It isn’t a super-high gain pedal but very amp-like in it’s response. Features at a glance. Gain – Controls the overdrive in your signal. Volume – Controls how loud the output is. Tone – Controls the treble frequency of the pedal. Pre – This is the presence keep an eye on which adds clarity without cutting bass response. Real nice little unit and for sure worth a look !
